Rolf's interest in wireless ISP's began as a co-founder and CTO of Traffic Center AB, a wireless ISP operating in the Stockholm archipelago, where he was responsible for rolling-out and managing their network.
Prior to this Rolf held multiple positions within Ericsson in Sweden and USA working in R&D, Marketing/Sales and Services, always at the leading edge of technology. In 1998 he was appointed by Ericsson as Director of Technology for MCI/WorldCom where he played a principal role in expanding business with a special focus on datacom (ATM, IP). His earlier contributions included the development of Ericsson's very first Dial-up Internet solution together with Bay Networks and he was a key contributor in R&D receiving special awards for inventing and developing new tools and processes. This background gives Rolf a unique experience in terms of understanding how to successfully develop and manage wireless data networks and ISP operations, specifically using IEEE 802.16 technologies. | |||
